I do a lot of reading Nicky but have only read 2 of the books on the list (Lord of the rings and Birdsong) I generally read autobiographies nowadays but do enjoy thriller/horrors. James Herbert was a fav author of mine but his last few books (imo) haven't been up to his usual standard. So whilst the list is a lot of the books classed as "classics" who are the BBC to say what's good and what's bad?


If anybody wants my copy of birdsong by Sebastion Faulkes whack me a pm with your addy and you can have it. Its not in brilliant condition but is quite a good read. It's about a soldier in the 1st world war and in places is very graphic

I am the same as Mac, most of the stuff I read is thriller/horror.
James Herbert and John connolly being my two fav to read, along the girlie line of books would be Miriam Keyes.

Iv not read many book, being dyslexic means im slow reading, and for that reason not many books keep me interested
Some of the books I have read are by Andy Mcnab and Chris Ryan.
