| One of my fav subjects, so folks don't let it get too agitated:D But is this Country going mad with all the do-gooders we have? Some schools can't have a nativity in case it offends others. We can't call a man hole a man hole, or a blackboard a blackboard in case of offence You can't hit a burglar in case they press charges against you. We have people who haven't ever worked in their lives yet we house them and give them money whilst our old people(who fought in a World War) are scared of putting the heating because they can't afford it We have "no go" areas in our cities where even the police wont go unless in a group. Our Fire Brigade/Ambulance service regularily get assaulted when trying to help others Shouldn't life mean life for murder/rape etc etc I could go on and on and on Sorry folks as this is "chill out" site/forum but some things really get on my tits | |

| I think you need to look at one at a time Mac… the do-gooders have played they’re part, but the government have shafted us more in the last 30 or so years, with sucking up to the USA, and opening the door to anyone! Think the question is what can we do if anything about it?
I believe life meaning life for murder/rape in prison, but if caught 100%.. and this can happen, then hang them!!

| Well there’s just no deterrent is there.. If they’re caught make an example of them? I think the first thing this country needs is law and order, We need to get that part right first.
Watching a TV programme on Australia, and if you caught by the police, they put you in a cell for the night, and you will be put in front of a judge the next day. Why can we not do that here?

Anyone? It was an example really mate, but we have to be careful what we say or write because of fear of upsetting somebody. The fact is someone will be upset/offended at virtually everything so where do we draw the line. Look at the recent row when some bishop moaned about the Mosques calling for prayer, all hell broke loose. Surely he's allowed his opinion? Just like anyone else is (Except women:lol: ) Hard hat is on
