A good friend of mine won the paraplegic london marathon on sunday.
Well done again to Dave Wier.

BUT

does any one know why the winners of the london marathon get $50000 and the winners of the wheel chair race only get $7000?
seems a bit unfair to me.

the guys in the wheel chairs train just as hard, if not harder. ok so their route isnt as long but it still seems a big gap in prize money.

your thoughts?

All to do with sponsors, the big names bring big sponsors, was it $50000 or £50000, I guess it was $50000 just to make it look bigger?
