Some of my old pike photo's

Howdy all..

Just thought maybe some of you would like to see some of my old pike photo's from when i was once a super keen pike angler..i was always one of these anglers that said carp fishing would never get a hold of me and like many it did. They are old photo's which were taken with my mobile phone photographed from my photo album so i must warn you that picture quality is a bit..er crap..lol ..but at least you can see some of the pictures unless your eyesight is very bad of course. Hope you like em anyway.

Here's one i had in nov 98 caught from the river severn weighing 17lb 2oz.



This one i caught in oct 96 from the river teme weighing 13lb 8oz



This one i caught in oct 96 from the river teme weighing 15lb 5oz.



This one i caught in march 97 from the severn weighing 24lb 15oz.



This one i caught in jan 98 from the river teme weighing 12lb 3oz.



This one i caught in nov 97 weighing 26lb 12oz from a 70acre gravel pit in oxfordshire.



These 2 i caught in jan 98 again from the severn weighing 21lb 1oz and 21lb 2oz among a 9 fish haul during a feeding frenzy.

This one i caught on the severn in nov 97 weighing 21lb 2oz.



This i caught on the severn again in oct 99 weighing 22lb 14oz.



This was caught by my lad with a bit of help..lol..it stood to be his personal best for a few years weighing a whopping 14lb 5oz from the severn caught in oct 99.



Heres my daughter with her 11lb 12oz caught in nov 99 from the severn.. i can't seem to get this photo any larger..grr.



My lad with his ever 1st zander weighing 4lb 14oz caught from the severn in feb 98.

This was i pike i caught whilst poaching an oxfordshire gravel pit..'cough' I know some will be saying i should'nt count this fish as i was breaking rules ect by poaching...well in my eyes it's mine.. Well it just happened that when i landed this fish the owner turned up ranting and raving like they do saying he's calling the police...blar blar blar..me and my mate like you do happened to say something like well ' we never knew you could'nt fish it' dorr ..lol.. like you do. Anyway we apologized and said we will weigh the fish then put it straight back..the owner was having none of it and stated that being a trout fishery and that him being the owner of the lake wanted to kill it....we said no fooooking way mate..this fish is going foookin back. As you can imagine this is getting quite heated so we put the fish back and make our way back to the van very quickly which we thought was quite well hidden around the corner but how wrong we were as the owner must of somehow got my number plate.. when we were driving down the road we were stopped by the police. We opologized and told him what had happened and what was said, now this mr policeman just by coincidence happened to be a carp angler with many storys exchanged between us both, he agreed that he would of done the same thing by putting the fish back if it had been him.. we basicly had our slap on the hand he gave us a errr telling off. And that was it really.


This fish weighed 22lb 5oz caught in dec 2000..there's 3 shadows in the photo..1 was my mate and the other 2 was the owner and bailif..



This one i caught from the severn weighing 18lb 10oz in feb 99.

Brilliant Tone , My PB is 19-12-0 from JCB water at Roister {sp} sorry pills some years back , I did a lot down Llangors but never did get anything bigger ,

I can remember dave it took me years to catch my 1st 20 but once i did eventually catch it catching 20's after that just came with ease..weird really..Nice one on the 19lb 12oz though dave. .I can remember my mate catching something like 4 x 19's before getting his 1st 20 and funny thing was he had 2 of them weighing 19lb 14oz and 2 weighing 19lb 12oz...i always wanted to catch a river 30 as they were rare anyway on the severn but i never acheived it but i had this one at 28lb 8oz caught in march 99 from the severn.

Here's one I had a couple of years ago (13lb plus ounces)



Funny thing was, I caught it about 9am and about 2pm my mate caught the same fish 3 swims away

Nice one mac.. Thats happened to me a couple of times over the years with pike..about 1994 i was a member of the P.A.C (pike anglers club) and me and my mate were fishing an 120 acre gravel pit and i caught this 18lb plus pike on a Drifter float..anyway we could drive around this lake to reach certain swims and we chose to spend the rest of the day on the other side past to big islands that were in the lake right around the other side. At this time there was proberbly around another 8 pikers fishing and just after dark i had this take to find by amazement that it was the pike i had caught earlier in the day.

For one reason or another iv not got that many photos of Pike, maybe cos iv not caught that many.
My two biggest I caught was when I was fishing for Carp on a fishmeal boilie, so didn’t count them.
Most of the time when I fish for pike its from a boat so don’t take a camera
